2017 La Vida Bella Vineyard Pinot Noir
Classic "Corralitos" Pinot, a great mix of red and blue fruit, spice and velvety tannins we have come to know and love from wines farmed in this region.
Vineyard
The La Vida Bella Vineyard is located above the floor of the Pleasant Valley area of Corralitos. At 600 feet in elevation and three miles from the ocean there is a very strong maritime effect on this vineyard. Joe Quink and Pam Minnis' site features a large swale on the northern section of the vineyard with some of the steepest terrain in the area.
Winemaker Notes
Record setting rain replenished our dry soils after 4 continuous years of drought. Yet, it was also another year of record setting heat with an exceptionally torrid Labor Day weekend. Spring was mild, allowing us to pick the best crop we’ve seen since 2012. This was a vintage of good yields and great quality.

Other Notes
The 2017 Pinot Noir La Vida Bella Vineyard, from a site in Corralitos, offers an attractive mix of vibrant red/purplish berry and aromatic/savory overtones from 33% whole clusters. Sage, lavender, mint and rose petal add layers of aromatic nuance. Vibrant and refreshing, with terrific verve, the 2017 is wonderfully alluring, even in the early going. - 92 points.
